Houston Chapter
 |
Karen Shadbolt, singer, songwriter and musician, lives in Conroe, TX with her husband John. They have three daughters and three precious grand children. Karen has been in music ministry for over twenty years as a soloist, worship leader, choir director of both adult and children’s choirs, and pianist. She is currently on staff at Living Way UMC in Conroe as a vocalist and keyboard player on the praise team. Karen sings and writes music that communicates the message of hope that can be found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her singing and writing style can be described as a mixture of contemporary, inspirational, acoustic folk and a little bit o’ country. She says, “I love it all …”
A TESTIMONY OF GRACE … after high school graduation, Karen moved from Lake Charles, LA to Houston and began a long journey that carried her further away from the truth she’d grown up hearing – that Jesus loved her and died to save her. After ten years, like the prodigal son, she came to her senses and, on August 8, 1977, gave her life to Christ.
Karen has studied music with some of the best Christian writers and artists, having completed studies at the Babbie Mason Songwriting Conference in Atlanta (1991); Steve Hurst School of Music Ministry and Performance, Nashville (2001); Stamps-Baxter School of Music, Nashville (2004); and most recently was a roster artist with Incubator Records (2004-2007).

Singer/songwriter Tquan Moore has been writing music for over fifteen years. During 11 of those years, Tquan was a youth minister at West Houston church of Christ before God sent him in the direction of full-time Christian music. As the Youth Minister he was also a worship leader and many times was called on to speak. The preparation of these years of ministry have given Tquan a clarity in both the music he is creating and the ministry he feels called to in the body of Christ.
Tquan started performing Christian music in 2002 as a way to share with others, the music he had already shared with God. Tquan was lead singer and acoustic guitarist for Houston-based band, ‘Beckoned’. Out of 170 entries from 35 states and eight countries, Tquan, with Beckoned, was one of seven artists/bands invited to perform at a Christian music contest called ‘The Unveiling’.
Tquan’s heart is for the transformation of people’s lives through the power of Jesus Christ. Whatever context he gets to do that in be it through music, speaking, at a retreat/conference or chatting with someone over lunch, the transformation of peoples lives is what he believes God has called him to.

Raishein feels that ministry by music is one of the most powerful tools that is used today to reach a generation that is looking for fulfillment in this world. She uses her talents prophetically to reach the world with God's message of love, grace and hope in spite of trials and tribulations. She believes strongly in teaching this generation how to rid themselves of religious mind-sets and develop a serious relationship with Jesus Christ. She uses her unique voice, love for people and heart after God to inspire others to realize that in spite of your past, you can make it with Jesus.
With the completion of the adroit album titled “Believe”, Raishein has delivered an impressive, powerful, and moving debut. As the album unfolds, Raishein leads audiences deeper into her world, walking them through a place of worship through her experiences and emotions.
